The Wanderer of Shriaz

This painting takes its inspiration from the story of Mulla Husayn, who, whislst wandering the breadth of Persia in search of the Promised One, was drawn to the city of Shiraz as though by a magnet. It was here that he encountered the Bab, the Gate, the Promised One, and his heart was transformed by God’s new revelation.
